    Any training tips?

I have experience with SQL Server 2000 writing queries, creating packages, and procedures. I've been doing the same things in the same way for awhile now, and I feel like there are probably a lot more sophisticated ways of doing things but I can't identify them or figure out how to learn them. When I look at online training it is either too basic or more related to being a SQL DBA, there seems to be a gap in the middle.

Any suggestions on next steps to continue to improve my skills? Thanks!

Go to amazon.com and key in SQL books. There are three pages of books for every experience level. Choose on and study it, apply the techniques to your code and learn. Also, various websites exist where you can ask for help with code or simply read other posts to gain valuable, real world insight into how others are doing it.

IF you can get away, these guys are the best.., PLUS it's in Florida. Online training is fine but if you can actually get away and be around fellow techies, that would be ideal.
