SQL Server Virtualization and Consolidation - Technet Edge Interview...

I was recently interviewed by Technet Edge's David Tesar when he was visiting Europe a couple of months ago.

We had some great discussions on whether SQL Server 2008 would be beneficial in large environments and the general answer was "Hell yeah!"... I've been speaking to many people in the user community about this and comments are mirrored in most cases, from resource utilisation to policy governance and compression, SQL Server 2008 is definitely a step forward... We're all looking forward to what the SQL Server Product Team will build and enhance from here.

Take a look at the video... Not the most charismatic of speakers I'm sure you'll agree but hopefully there's content in there of value! Can't believe the snapshot they chose was of me talking mid-blink :) ... oh well  :o)

And what's Technet Edge? Well, Technet Edge is a community site where IT professionals can go to get the inside scoop on the latest and greatest technologies... There's a wealth of information on there, and I'd strongly encourage anyone looking for tips and tricks to have a poke around...
